Huh?

  • What use does a post-apocalyptic world have for an unemployed television writer who throws fabulous cocktail parties? The following pages will (hopefully) document my attempt to become a useful member of society in case of natural disaster, nuclear fallout, terrorist attacks or a zombie revolution.

Deann B.

Yay! Progress! Goofy grin is perfectly acceptable.

I think you are doing a great job, keep up the good work! I for one have spent many an hour talking with my friends about our "zombie apocalypse" survival plan.

Good luck, and remember aim for the brain.

Fearsclave

Way to go! You're being positively inspirational with this.

Complete Geek

Awesome! Looking fabulous darling. I'm still working on the whole "pretend I'm being chased" thing, but I have managed to lose 4 pounds.

I was so shocked when I heard about Heath Ledger. It's tragic. It's strange how you can feel a connection to someone you've never even met.

Question: Will your workout clothes continue to get smaller as the workout goes on?? ;)

the slackmistress

Oh dear God, NO. The first outfit is when I went running outside in the freezing rain. The second from before working out in the nice, warm gym. No asscrack shorts, EVER.

monkey

You know I love the way you dress and wear makeup (any girl that wears the crazy colours from MAC is a girl after my own heart). It is, after all, the reason I started reading the slackblog. But believe me when I say that some of your prettiest pictures have been you hanging out holding those writer's strike signs.

You look wonderful and I've actually gotten into running because of this damn blog! I'll update my own about that and link this soon.

the slackmistress

@monkey: Awwww. Merci.

Bryce

Um, weight only matters if we know height...

(Picture #1 does NOT do you justice!)

Bryce

*blink*

Damn, that first picture does not do you justice!

Ian

Lookin' good! Nice progress, on your way to not being zombie fodder is always good.

astrothsknot

You look very fetching, madam.

Only two weeks and you're starting to look more athletic.

Jodi

I'm doing well with healthier eating, but not so great on the exercise front. Yay you!

Rus

Good progress!

As to emotional health, some think emotions are something one uses determination to rise above. More a detriment than a benefit.

Of course, they don't seem happy but they do seem... calm.

Catherine

I weigh about 3 pounds less than you and I do not look anywhere near as hot. Keep working it!

(and I got into spinning from reading your accounts of it... loving it so far)
