Please excuse the goofy grin. Looking fabulous and sexy sans makeup and in one's workout clothes is thankfully not crucial for post-apocalyptic survival, although those Resident Evil movies claim otherwise.
...
On a serious note:
While not completely relevant to this blog, actor Heath Ledger died of a reported drug overdose today, although it hasn't been discovered if it was accidental or intentional as of this writing. I wrote more on the subject at the slack daily, but there is a point that I make there that is relevant here, and that is this: survival isn't just something you need for the apocalypse. You might need it to get through your day. Fighting for your emotional survival is just as important as fighting for you physical survival. It may make us frail, but it also makes us human.
While I may crack wise, there are days where I have to fucking fight for it. But I do. And I'll continue to.
I hope that you do, too.

Yay! Progress! Goofy grin is perfectly acceptable.

I think you are doing a great job, keep up the good work! I for one have spent many an hour talking with my friends about our "zombie apocalypse" survival plan.
Good luck, and remember aim for the brain.

Way to go! You're being positively inspirational with this.

Awesome! Looking fabulous darling. I'm still working on the whole "pretend I'm being chased" thing, but I have managed to lose 4 pounds.
I was so shocked when I heard about Heath Ledger. It's tragic. It's strange how you can feel a connection to someone you've never even met.

Question: Will your workout clothes continue to get smaller as the workout goes on?? ;)

Oh dear God, NO. The first outfit is when I went running outside in the freezing rain. The second from before working out in the nice, warm gym. No asscrack shorts, EVER.

You know I love the way you dress and wear makeup (any girl that wears the crazy colours from MAC is a girl after my own heart). It is, after all, the reason I started reading the slackblog. But believe me when I say that some of your prettiest pictures have been you hanging out holding those writer's strike signs.
You look wonderful and I've actually gotten into running because of this damn blog! I'll update my own about that and link this soon.

Um, weight only matters if we know height...
(Picture #1 does NOT do you justice!)

*blink*
Damn, that first picture does not do you justice!

Lookin' good! Nice progress, on your way to not being zombie fodder is always good.

You look very fetching, madam.
Only two weeks and you're starting to look more athletic.

I'm doing well with healthier eating, but not so great on the exercise front. Yay you!

Good progress!
As to emotional health, some think emotions are something one uses determination to rise above. More a detriment than a benefit.
Of course, they don't seem happy but they do seem... calm.

I weigh about 3 pounds less than you and I do not look anywhere near as hot. Keep working it!
(and I got into spinning from reading your accounts of it... loving it so far)
